Hayley and Chris’ Gorgeous Rainforest Wedding
Seven years in the making, Chris finally proposed to childhood sweetheart Hayley. “He planned a surprise proposal, but I totally knew what he was up to. You don’t spend seven years with someone and not know what they are up to!” says Hayley. “He took me out to one of my favourite places for dinner (Black Mountain Tower). It was so cute to see him nervous! By the time we finally had dessert and went up to the lookout, I was so excited that I didn’t even let him finish the proposal! As soon as I saw the ring box I started to squeal and cry and practically bowled him over. Poor guy didn’t even get the chance to get down on one knee.”
In front of 120 guests, the couple exchanged vows in the gorgeous Chapel at Chateau Wyuna before a really lovely release ceremony on the steps of the Chapel.
Located in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, Chateau Wyuna is the perfect one stop shop for a wedding. If the weather is not great or you just love the 100 year old heritage listed chapel is perfect for an intimate wedding. With a choice of two great outdoor locations for a ceremony though it would have to be bucketing down not take advantage of either the waterfall or pergola.
We had a tonne of time with Hayley and Chris for some fantastic wedding photos around the 6 acres of beautiful gardens that the Chateau calls home.
An image that we love and took a bit of planning with each of the trees in the scene lit with flashes front and back for a truly dramatic image.
